Motorcycle racing runs a Grand Prix weekend much like Formula 1 — practice, qualifying, a Saturday sprint and Sunday's race — but across a calendar that leans heavily on European circuits with long-haul rounds bookending the season. Sessions are short, so a stream that drops for two minutes can cost a decisive one.
Session-by-session, not race-only
Each part of the weekend is listed on its own rather than bundled, and the support classes that share the bill are worth catching too. Rights vary sharply by country, with some markets getting the full weekend free-to-air and others only the race.
Three championships share every race weekend
Moto3 for the youngest riders, Moto2 as the proving ground, and MotoGP at the top — all three race on the same Sunday at the same circuit. It makes for a long broadcast day and a genuinely different watching experience from a single-class series, because the junior races are frequently the closest and most chaotic of the three.
Why the racing looks nothing like Formula 1
Bikes slipstream harder and brake later relative to their speed, so positions change constantly and a leader is rarely safe. Passes happen on the final lap far more often than in car racing, and the margin between winning and crashing out is a few degrees of lean — which is why the last three laps of a MotoGP race are worth staying up for in a way a processional Grand Prix is not.
A calendar built around Europe
The season opens and closes with long-haul rounds in Asia, the Americas and the Middle East, but its spine is a European summer — Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, several of them at circuits the sport has used for decades. Those rounds start in the early afternoon CET, which is the friendliest window the calendar offers.
Sprint races and the modern weekend
Saturday now carries a shortened race worth half points, on top of qualifying, so a rider can leave a weekend having scored twice or crashed twice. It has made Saturdays consequential in a way they never used to be, and it means missing the sprint means missing a real chunk of the championship.
Whatever is on is listed above, free and in HD, with more than one link per fixture so a source that gives out costs you a click rather than the game. Not what you came for? Sportnoch also covers Formula 1, UFC and boxing.
