Hockey runs a long regular season into a postseason widely considered the most punishing in team sport — four rounds of best-of-seven, frequently decided in overtime. The pace of play also makes it the sport where a stuttering stream is most obviously ruinous: a goal can arrive in the seconds a feed takes to recover.

A schedule split across two countries

Rights are divided between national broadcasters on both sides of the border and a layer of regional networks underneath, so which games you can reach depends on which country you are in as much as which team you follow. Listing them together sidesteps working out who holds what on any given night.

The postseason is a two-month war of attrition

Winning a Stanley Cup means sixteen victories across four best-of-seven rounds, played every other night, against opponents who are visibly injured by the third round. No other major postseason asks that much physically, which is why the hockey playoffs produce more upsets and more overtime than any other bracket in team sport.

Overtime is why a dropped stream hurts here

Regular-season ties go to a five-minute three-on-three period and then a shootout. Playoff games instead play full twenty-minute periods until somebody scores — games have run past midnight and into a third or fourth extra period. A feed that dies at the wrong moment costs you the only goal that mattered, which is why every fixture here carries more than one source.

The trade deadline reshapes February

Contending teams buy, eliminated ones sell, and a roster you were following in January can look materially different by March. It is the point in the season where the standings stop being a curiosity and start deciding who is worth watching, and the games either side of it tend to be the most consequential of the regular season.

Outdoor games and the international breaks

The Winter Classic and the other outdoor fixtures are scheduled as events rather than ordinary games, usually on holidays, and they draw audiences well beyond the regular hockey crowd. Best-on-best international tournaments, when they happen, do the same — and both appear on the schedule above like any other night.

Whatever is on is listed above, free and in HD, with more than one link per fixture so a source that gives out costs you a click rather than the game. Not what you came for? Sportnoch also covers NBA basketball, the NFL and MLB baseball.
